o==========<0 Paaaahhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaa is the sound of the mighty Vuvuzela resounding through the streets of South Africa these days. With Vuvuzela-lovers complaining about Football being played during Vuvuzela concerts; and Vuvuzela-haters threatening to throw a Vuvuzela onto the playing field in an attempt to get it banned, shows there is definately two vastly opposite camps for this debate. Whether you love or hate them the multi-coloured, multi-decorated piece of plastic is here to stay; even if it does not carry the following warning written on it... *** Warning - Please note possible damage to hearing might occur with excessive use *** Personally I can't make up my mind, it does build spirit and creates the Proudly South African feeling, but on the other side of the coin..it really is a monotonous noise is it not? Nothing melodic about it and unfortunately drowns out any possible other noise spectators might make..like the football chants, the "aaaahhh when something exciting happens on the field, the cheer of joy when your team scores and of course the groan of disappointment when it's the other team. Having blown it a few times (first after a bit of practice getting it right I might add) my opinion is that you definately need a jar of vaseline to soothe those lips. Soek and Zippo are throwing "Proudly South African" out the window, and are firmly in the Vuvuzela-hater camp. With every pppaaaaaahhhhhh Zippo runs out the vicinity to the nearest spot of safety and Soek barks and attempts to attack this funny noise making plastic thing that is possibly hurting his mom! Perhaps looking at the reaction of my dogs, I have to assume that the Vuvuzela is not the greatest thing to have come out of South Africa.
And with that I wish you all a o==========<0 ppppppphhahaaaaaaaaa till next time!
